From being in close touch with the IPL and BCCI to getting the title sponsorship for IPL 2020, Dream XI has obviously come a long way. With the meeting going gon for the past few weak, finally, the BCCI has come up with their title sponsor for the IPL in Dubai. Although TATA, unacademy and many others tried their luck for the title sponsorship, it was Dream XI who got it in the end. The IPL which is scheduled in Dubai this year will look forward to entertaining the fans as well as generate some profit over the loss they suffered in the lockdown because of the cancellation of IPL.

Dream XI has been very much keen and was eyeing for the title sponsor for so long. SInce VIVO had to back off at the last, Dream XI had the chance to grab the opportunity to get the title spot. Byju’s bid INR 201 cr. and Unacademy bid INR171 cr. which was not sufficient to beat the winners.
The IPL chairman had all the warm welcomes for the new title sponsors as he said that he is very much positive about the IPL and is looking forward to working with the new title sponsors.
VIVO bids adieu to IPL 2020
Since a lot of controversies were going on between India and China, VIVO has decided to back off from the IPL for 2020. VIVO had an agreement for five years starting from 2018. But because of the controversies between the two countries, VIVO is set to be replaced by DREAM XI. It is very much in connection with the BCCI over the past few years.
Old connect of Dream XI and BCCI
The BCCI and DREAM XI had been in connection over the past few years. The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has himself featured in the advertisement of the new sponsor. From this, it is clear that the new title sponsor had old connection with the national board. Also because of the highest bid, it is the new title sponsor of the 2020 edition of IPL.
Undoubtedly, The BCCI is going to try and conduct the IPL with full safety of the players and everyone associated with it. It is going to be a relief for the players as they will get to play rather than sitting at home during the lockdown.
